I think I was designing before I became a ‘designer’. I have up to 10 years working in luxury fashion retail where I had one of those never-to-be-advertised jobs - curating the space, commissioning artists to create work, designing installations and learning on the go. I had no idea what set design was at that time and an introduction to theatre became my entry point into it. My interest in bodies and objects in space has evolved over time, now layered with narrative and feeling as a script or an excavation for meaning dictates. The adjacent worlds of film, dance, opera, fashion and interiors continues the theatricality, attention to detail and the storyteller’s approach that is needed to make evocative spaces.

My intention in all the projects is to create worlds for people to feel.
